Are Urban Movies a New Hype or Underground Gem

I will stray away from a personal opinion and strictly stay on a professional belief of filmmaking. Black urban movies are making an up rise on the new streaming app TUBI, and have been in the public circle of conversation for several months. I believe that the black community of filmmakers have a press time period of actually breaking into the industry and making their mark, but they must ACT NOW. This is the opportunity that the black community has waited for and now is the time to press forward with their creativity into the fold of the film industry. I'm not comparing apples with oranges, but the Korean movies/Kdrama has pressed for years and finally made their mark into the big screen along with streaming apps and respected fanbase. Even Hollywood has even taken notice of their high level and low budget film stars. Black Filmmakers......the time is now... don't miss your shot.
